WEHCT will be soon offering a new service all women who are rhesus negative; a prophylactic anti-D injection when they are 30 weeks pregnant. This service will start on Thursday 6th November, but it is an option which the mother may choose or decline.
There will be patient information leaflets available and community midwives will be able to discuss any concerns more fully with their women. This new service is designed to come in line with the recent recommendations by NICE.
